Just moments before going on stage for paying his tribute to late rapper Nate Dog, Warren G addressed the MTV News cameras and with genuine sincerity said, “I honestly don’t know how this is going to turn out.” The upset G was still coming to terms with the sad demise of his friend and colleague Nate, who died last Tuesday due to stroke-related problems.

His tribute performance at the South by Southwest music event was further echoed by other musicians and DJs who played Nate’s collections all night long. Every person to grace the stage highlighted Nate’s legacy in their own ways, but it was the deadly group of Warren, Kurupt and Daz Dillinger who took the program to its climax and had the finals say of the festival. So when G had opined those lyrics in front of the MTV News cameras, he was right as the show grew itself during the night, without any planned direction and that feeling of not knowing what to expect, really made the night memorable.

An hour after Warren took to the stage, with the crowd still high from the Snoop Dogg’s ‘Real Soon’ featuring Nate on the chorus, some may have idea that the ‘Lay Low’-rapper may have left an incomplete legacy, but that’s not the case. This was a fact well known among every performer on the night, and ergo the theme set for the event was not the usual mourning-tribute one. Instead it was more of a celebration of the late rapper’s career and life.

Teen sensation Justin Bieber has exploded on the music scene. In the past he has leaned more towards a pop musical direction, with a little hip hop thrown in for good measure. But could the teen heartthrob make a transition into country? Could “Bieber Fever” go countrified? Rascal Flatts lead singer Gary LeVox voiced the news when he spoke to country radio station WSIX, according to CNN. “Justin asked us to duet with him on his next record. It’s in truth a really good song! The youth is really talented. He plays five or six instruments really well.”

Past musical collaborators with Justin Bieber have been Diddy, Drake, Ludacris, and Kanye West. So it pretty obvious that the “Beebs” likes himself some hip hop. Can the transition work? many think so, as Bieber has a huge following, and that can only extend to country, not repel it. Once mainly a following of teenage girls, Bieber’s influence is starting to spread throughout all facets of music, thanks in part to his many ‘eclectic’ collaborators.

On Sunday, Bieber confirmed LeVox’s statements with his twitter account while voicing accolades for the latter’s county music group ” I love @Rascal Flatts and I’m admired they are making music with me,” he wrote “and for those that don’t know …they have awesome records like this one. #GREATMUSIC.” It is reported that the 16 year old 2010 AMA artist of the year approached Rascal Flatts himself. Justin then included a link to a Beiber fan video with a Rascal Flatts song in the background. Obviously Bieber fans are excited for any new music by the Canadian, let alone a duet with another popular group such as Rascal Flatts, who have been heavy hitters in the country pop genre.

Many of us have revealed and read about the heart-wrenching destruction caused in Japan by the March 11 earthquake and so has Taylor Hanson. But opposed the general public, Hanson has the financial clout and resources to do something to help those who are in need at this time of crisis, and that’s exactly what he did with the arrangement of a charity- concert in a very short space of time.

The Hanson band was already in Austin for the South by Southwest music festival, hence they quickly brainstormed for the ideas and less than 12 hours later, all the big arrangements had been made. The band of brothers contacted agents, organisers, fellow musicians, and everything just kept on rolling all together.Speaking in an interview with MTV News on the studio compound where the concert is going to take place, Taylor Hanson voiced that they came to the South by Southwest with the automatic assumption that the music social order must be up to something, in order to provide relief to the millions who have been affected by the Earthquake-induced Tsunami in Japan.

But to the brothers’ surprise, there was nothing being done about it and the festival was mostly about the promotion of individual artists. The disappointed band weren’t prepared to turn a blind eye on the subject like the other musicians had until that point. Instead they took the initiative themselves and announced the SXSW 4 Japan concert, which would broadcast 12 nonstop hours of music on SXSW4Japan.org, with all the revenue and donations going directly to the Japanese people. Soon after the announcement, other artists warmed up to the idea and now broad Panic’s John Hermann, Michael Stipe and the Court Yard Hounds are all scheduled to perform alongside Hanson to show that they are with Japan in these complicated times.Taylor voiced that the band likes to do things that are overlooked by others and this was one of those things, which had drawn no reaction from the American music industry. So they dove in to the idea and made the South by Southwest fraternity realise their lack of efforts in this regard.

If you ask someone about 80′s Music, it does not always incite pleasant memories, musically. The general sentiment is 60s was the era when the development of rock music took place, while 70s was the ‘disco’ music decade. The 60s has a relation to bands such as the Rolling Stones, the Beatles and the Who along with multiple other classic groups who influenced the development of modern rock as we know it now.

80′s Music is granted less consequence by the masses but the experts think it does not warrant such an unfair management.Tears for Fears – one of the 80s best bands produced worldwide happening such as ‘shout’ and ‘everybody wants to rule the world.’ The truth is 80s produced lots of phenomenal music too but it never gets the deserved level of appreciation as other eras of music do.

There was no shortage of modern pop bands either in the 80s as Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode emerged with hits such as “East End Boys and West End Girls” and “Route 66″, by order. There were some other cult groups too like The Cure, out of whom some truly legendary artists cropped up.Psychedelic Furs additionally arose in the 80s whose Pretty in Pink was such an immense achievement that a film of the same title was made and dedicated to the song – a rare feat in those days. R.E.M’s ‘Losing My Religion’ was further a pivotal product of the 80s whose trendsetting ability led to the creation of modern rock music of the 90s. Pop stars weren’t the only ones to contribute to 80′s Music hits.

It was ten years ago when the Strokes put on a famous show at the South by Southwest music festival at the tiny Iron Cactus. After a decade-long hiatus, the band made a triumphant return to the annual tune advent on Thursday and performed a free concert at the Auditorium Shores venue, with the beautiful view of the Austin skyline in the background. The band made their onstage entrance at the tune of ‘We Will Rock You,’ but started off the proceedings with Room on Fire’s first track ‘What Ever Happened?’ The lead singer Julian Casablancas, clutched the mic in his trademark double-handed stranglehold and crooned, ‘I want to be forgotten/ And I don’t want to be reminded.

‘ It seemed as if he wanted to convey his actual feelings by virtue of the song’s legendary lines and the audience went mad, some even crushing the fences to get a glimpse of their respected band. The enormous arena was against the SXSW annual traditions, but it soon cramped up as the Strokes attempted to get into flow, highlighting the force of indie bands on masses.Someone dressed in a black leather jacket, sporting calculator view and eyewear at night inside a closed venue would certainly look odd, but not in the case of Casablancas, who possesses unquestionable rockstar arrogance and never hesitates to flaunt it in front of his spell-bound fans. He ordered the audience to obey and sing along with him during the performance of ‘You Only Live Once’ and what selection did the fans have other than madly following their admired singer into the musical frenzy that followed.

He howled ‘New single y’all’ and unleashed their fresh song ‘Under Cover of Darkness’ from their yet to be released album Angels. The new album is scheduled for a March 22 release and if the fanatic response it garnered from the fans is any sort of indication, then the album would certainly be a smash hit.

So are you ready to dive into the creative process? There really is no experience needed to start painting. Just the desire to do so is enough. Your mind may try to tell you that you aren’t good enough or don’t have the time, but don’t let that stop you from picking up that brush. The fact is that it is easier to create a good painting than a bad one. Having the will to go for it is your bigger challenge.

I would choose to begin with a work on paper. Canvas is a whole other story that can wait. And it’s not so upsetting when you mess up a work on paper over canvas, which does happen. Working with a brush on paper is different than canvas. The fluidity of water is a gentle approach, and helps you connect with the paint in a nice flow. It has a lot to teach you before you tackle the thicker paints. I have chosen to work in acrylics on paper for many years because I love the flow of paint and water together. I also prefer the thicker texture of acrylics over watercolors.

Landscapes are wonderful to paint for many reasons. They connect us to nature in a deeper way through our visual studies, and they bring the beauty of nature indoors. When you really start to “see” nature, it will have many gifts for you. The trick is in actually seeing what you want to create because it is harder to see than it is to creatively express what you see. Your job, before you even pick up the brush, is to really “see” what is in front of you. You want to see the colors, the flow of shapes, the perspective, the lines, the composition and allow this visual to translate into a feeling for what you see. This is how you will infuse your painting with your own energy and interpretation that is unique to who you are and how you live. When I am really seeing what is laid out before me in nature, it often locks into my visual brain where it is vividly stored until I am ready to recall it. Sometimes I have to sketch it for fear of losing or forgetting what I am seeing. I have found that my best paintings result from those times I am able to effortlessly lock in a powerful vision of what I am seeing, and often have no sketches. And I have carried stored visions for years before they have manifested as paintings. The art of seeing comes with time and practice, and is a necessary prerequisite to the eventual art of expression.

The Macbook Air has been out for awhile now, however, you might find presently there has been little competition in the PC world with regards to alternatives. The Air lives up to its name, its superb style, light weight, and engineering make for an extraordinary piece of equipment. In case you are still undecided, but not confident that the Macbook Air is for you, with luck , this article will answer most of your questions. When it comes to the Air, you need to check out some of its stronger characteristics, which include it’s dimensions, simplicity of use, and it’s processing power.

If you’re looking for transportability, some find it tough to compete with the Air. It is extremely light-weight at less than three lbs, and right now there are thirteen as well as 11 inch versions, each of which have got a full-sized key-board. Possessing a full-sized computer keyboard on a machine this small is extraordinary. When your keyboard is cramped, it makes it tough to justify investing in a laptop simply based on portability. The great advantage of the air as well is its exceptional battery life. At close to 5 hrs, and over 30 days on stand by, this computer was created to be light-weight, small, and ideal for use on the road.

With the decrease in dimensions, there will needless to say be a few compromises. Nonetheless, reasonably few as far as the Air is concerned. I had mentioned previously the fantastic full sized key-board, it also has a powerful processor chip, built in web cam, as well as an fantastic sized trackpad. What you will observe immediately though will be the lack of a digital disc drive. I was unhappy to learn this at first, until I thought back to the last occasion I actually utilized my drive, which is essentially never! So in the event you regularly use your disc drive this can be an issue, even so you can find external drive alternatives as well.
