The Haphazard Techno Style of Justice Also Reflects Indie and Rock

The techno duo Justice consists of just two individuals, Gaspard Auge and Xavier de Rosnay, hailing from France. They are known for their electrifying beats and are one of the most commercially successful groups on Ed Banger Records. While Justice can be considered techno in essence, it’s hard not to notice a strong rock and indie influence in their image and music. As one follows their prolific career, it is difficult to predict their trajectory. One thing that is certain is that they are electrifying and considered techno by some of the top DJs.

Their debut album garnered critical acclaim upon its release in 2007 and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Electronic and Dance Album. The album ranked 15th on Pitchfork’s Top 50 Albums of 2007 and received a nomination for the 2007 Shortlist Prize.
