Jameson Irish Whiskey is currently using Camille Saint-Saens "Danse Macabre" as the theme music for a USA TV advertizing spot. The commercial is about a giant hawk, not dancing bones, so one might not immediately notice where the music came from. I impressed myself (ha ha, don't you love doing that dozens of times a day?) by recognizing that I had "heard that tune before," and upon further reflection a few days later, even moreso to name the composer, without looking it up on the internet. So that makes my Classical Music Cred [TM] thoroughly… intermediate.

To raise my cred ever higher, I have shoved Danse Macabre into Pandora. So far I am greeted by various "dead guys I like."
