Quotehow many of you are singles? or in a relationship? or in a complicated relationship?
I've been there, going through hard times.
I'm single, and it's been incredibly uncomplicated for a long time. Simple: no GF, no complication! 
I've just had other preoccupations, mostly career and finances. When you're self-sufficient you get used to no one else being around. I'm not opposed to it, it just hasn't happened. Sometimes I make efforts at it, but the place I'm living, or what I need to get done, has often gotten in the way. The last place I lived was too suburban for me. I'm about to start a more urban existence within walking distance of nightlife.
My dog has provided some of the emotional benefits that a GF might. I'm not saying that one should get a pet as an emotional bandage; a pet is a commitment and has needs you must provide for. But a pet returns unconditional love and that is buoying. I figure I can make it through anything as long as we've got each other.
Don't worry about being single. I did it for five years straight, zero girlfriends. Gives you lots of time
to work on things you need to improve and you can eat whatever you want.
I've been married for 19 years and we have had two (three minute) fights. But all relationships have issues.
My wife is Vietnamese and still has a real hard time with English (she knows how to tell me what to do) It's great fun sometimes, like when she wants me to go for some Oshegano? It took me 10 minutes to figure out she meant Oregano.
I'm not much better. I've never learned Vietnamese and I've probably been told 500+ times, "Your no handyman!"
Seriously, all relationships take effort and they are usually worth it.

Oh my GOODNESS!!! Married for 19 years and only 2 fights? Must be your personalities mesh well. My husband and I … seem to be so opposite. It is either personalty or because we are male and female, LOL. We had 'fights' (not real fights, just disagreements) ever since we were dating! We are now married for over 6 years, and still going strong. A lot of people did not think we were going to last when we started dating, LOL. Now we have two children and are doing better together than ever. It took a lot of learning and changing for both of us.
But yes, relationships take a lot of effort. Sometimes, when both individual's lifestyles and personalities are very different, it is a bit like trying to get a cat and dog to live with each other, LOL. If both partners are willing to admit when they are wrong, apologize, forgive, and forget, then that goes a long way in surviving together for a long time.

WTF, I just posted my reply and hit post and it dissapeared. Anyways, I am in a complicated relationship with a woman I have never met but only talked to for the last 4 years. We plan to meet next month in her country I'm pretty stoked!
of course you are! after 4 years! I wish you good luck, man, I always believed in online relationships (really, they are cool).
had a couple of similar situations in the past, they worked a bit, but not too long.

Thanks brother, it has definitely not been easy. But in a month I will travel across the ocean for a her and possibly come home with a wife
you mean chats, right? who has never had a relationship from a chat? mm "relationship"., whatever it is. but it's easier to feel confident with a woman

chats? Are you refering to me? If so, we talk on the phone daily, do webcam stuff and are connected each day on facebook and other sites as well. There is no physical stuff, but that was my big reason for being interested in the first place. After being single for 5 years, I can't even begin to say how many meaningless after sex conversations I have had with different woman. This woman is different, we can chat for hours and hours and to me that is the hard part to find in a woman, not sex, that part is easy. Also finding someone who likes my genre of music and has a kid just like me, yeah, enough justifications. I am happy to have had my "chats" gone rather well. Take care

but it's ok, it's hard to find your soul mate, and you are lucky. it's very very hard to find someone with whom you can share your thoughts, be really appreciated for what you do.
