Inline Drum Spill Pallets – Great Space Savers When You Have to Store Large Drums Safely
No comments yet - Check Manuel Career's News! --> Manuel Marino Official <--Do you keep drums filled with fluids and chemicals in your facility? How do you make sure that potential leaks won’t turn into big problems? And how do you keep them from getting underfoot or in the way? Read on for the solution that allows you to solve both problems at the same time.
Well, to contain potential spills, you will need some type of protective pallets. And pallets can be bulky. But they don’t have to be.
If you choose inline drum spill pallets, you’ll find that they not only have a very small footprint and take up barely more space than the drums themselves, but they actually keep the drums safely stashed away — out of the way. And yet, they also have a surprising amount of capacity for holding fluids that might spill.
In fact, if you use inline drum spill pallets, you can line up all your drums along the wall — and thus keep them off the main floor area.
And you can even get a convenient ramp for loading and unloading the drums more easily — and safely — if you like.
What should you look for when you’re shopping for inline drum spill pallets? First of all, make sure they’re made out of a durable material such as polyethylene. You may also want to choose ones with a relatively low profile — and get a ramp so you can unload the drums easily.
And of course, make sure that they have ample sump capacity so that they’ll be able to handle any spills that might occur. And ideally, they should also have removable poly grates that will make cleaning a breeze.
Obviously, they must also be resistant to the types of chemicals you plan to store in the drums that you’ll put on the pallets you’re shopping for, and they must definitely meet EPA requirements.
There’s another thing you should ask yourself.
Are you planning to dispense any fluids from the drums directly? In that case, you may want to get some drum top pads along with your inline drum spill pallets so you won’t end up with stains all over the wall.
