Art Competitions
No comments yet - Check Manuel Career's News! --> Manuel Marino Official <--There are many art competitions out there that as an artist, you can enter your work. These competitions are a good way of showcasing your work and gaining some recognition. It is expensive to set up an exhibition for your work as a struggling artist. The art competitions can save you money and give you the exposure you need and the cash prizes are not so bad as well. There are things you should consider while preparing for art competitions.
The picture you take for your art pieces represents you to the judges in a certain light. This will increase or reduce your chances for winning art competitions. You should read the instructions on the format photos that need to be submitted. The era of films is coming to an end and digitals are taking over. Most entries in digital forms have specific criteria mostly to be submitted and depend on the number of pixels.
Public art

Monuments, memorials and civic statuary are perhaps the oldest and most obvious form of officially sanctioned public art, although it could be said that architectural sculpture and even architecture itself is more widespread and fulfills the definition of public art. Increasingly most aspects of the built environment are seen as legitimate candidates for consideration as, or location for, public art, including, street furniture, lighting and graffiti. Public art is not confined to physical objects; dance, procession, street theatre even poetry have proponents that specialize in public art.
Dreaming of working in Film or TV

Photo by FilmCrewTechAre you dreaming of working with media and communication? The film and TV industry is recognized as one of the most competitive industry to succeed in, and getting a foot in can be very difficult.
Small countries may not have education in the field; so many students are forced to study abroad, or simply choose to because of the quality of the studies. The United Kingdom are maybe the best country in Europe for Film, TV and Broadcasting studies, while countries like Norway, Denmark and Sweden are lagging behind. I Norway some public university colleges offer this, but these are often small and have a limited offer. Instead the private non-accredited schools are taking over. Not in quality, but in the number of students.
In Great Britain there are a lot of institutions that offer media programs, almost all of the bigger universities and some smaller institutions offer this. But which one you choose? Try to find a course that will fit the position you want to end up in. If you want to work in broad casting, a specialized program in broad casting is the thing. A lot of programs offer more or less the same subjects, but try to find the program with subjects that you like best and can give you the expertise that you want. Ask the institutions what kind of equipment they have and which industry links they have. Some institutions like Ravensbourne are specialized and are fully sponsored by the industry and renew all their equipment every third year to follow the industry.
Lyceum Theatre London The Lion Ling Musical
No comments yet - Check Manuel Career's News! --> Manuel Marino Official <--The Lion King is a Tony and Olivier Award winning Broadway along with West End musical at the Lyceum Theatre based upon the 1994 Disney animated film of exactly the same title. Its content has characters within animal costumes along with giant, hollow puppets and is directed by Julie Taymor.
When the little lion Prince Simba comes into the world, his evil uncle Scar is pushed back to 2nd in line to the throne. Scar plots to kill both Simba and his father, King Mufasa, and proclaim himself King. Simba survives, but is led to believe that his father died as a result of him and he decides to flee the kingdom. The musical features several changes and additions to the story line when compared to the film.
Brief history of the Lyceum Theatre: In the course of its history, dating back to 1772, when the Society of Arts started ‘ a Room for Exhibitions and Concerts’ near the current site, the Lyceum has shown a chameleon tendency, transitioning to changing fashions and requirements. Initially the theatre housed an array of entertainment, such as a hot air balloon display, an animal circus and fireworks.
Atlanta Attractions 101: The High Museum Of Art

Atlanta, Georgia is one of the best places I’ve been to. Aside from being the most populated city in the United States, Atlanta is the third largest city in the U.S. and is known as the top business city and transportation hub of the country (it has the busiest airport too).
With regard to tourism, Georgia’s capital city also offers a great deal to boast about. In reality, most of the Atlanta attractions are even recognized across the world. It is where the worldwide head office of Coca-Cola, Delta Airlines, and AT&T can be found. Apart from that, there are tour selections for the Atlanta Zoo, inside CNN Studio, Fernbank Museum of Natural History, The Atlanta Botanical Garden, the Atlanta History Center and the High Museum of Art.
One very famous destination among Atlanta attractions is The High Museum of Art. So what’s with this tourist destination that really draws in a huge crowd daily?

When economy, pragmatism, materialism and left brain methods fail, Arts help and right brain can give you what you need: love, hope, creation, imagination, a change.

In few words: Music, Arts, People and Ideas.
What links all these words together? It’s not difficult. But first let’s begin studying the term “artist”. It means “One, such as a painter, sculptor, or writer, who is able by virtue of imagination and talent or skill to create works of aesthetic value”, but also “A person whose work shows exceptional creative ability or skill”.
If we agree that whenever we have exceptional ideas and we are able to create from them a work of aesthetic value we can be considered “artists” then you know what links all those words together: creativity, the ability or power to create.
