Wyclef Jean Scraped in Haiti Gun fire

According to R&B singer Wyclef Jean, he heard the loud sound of gunshots and realized he had been hit by a bullet. The incident occurred on Saturday evening in Port-au-Prince, just a day before the scheduled Haitian Presidential election.

A spokesperson for Jean confirmed that the singer was treated at a local facility for a minor wound but chose not to investigate the cause of the injury. The spokesperson, Cindy Tanenbaum, informed CNN that Jean is in good health and spirits after the incident.

Jean had previously mentioned that he was injured as soon as he stepped out of his car to get better cell phone reception. Following the treatment for his minor injury, Jean was allowed to leave by the doctors, according to his spokesperson.

The singer declined to comment on reports suggesting that he had been targeted by assassins, as he did not want to sensationalize the incident further. Haitian national authorities representative Garry Desrosiers stated that Jean refused to cooperate with them and did not provide any details, leading them to halt any further investigation into the matter.
