When you were a teenager, it may have occurred to you that you wanted to be admired by all, be influential to everyone and still be as cool as you want to be. All of us always have this thought when we were young to be a rock star and be the coolest dude in the planet. Rock stars are always an inspiration to us even though they were so rude, untidy, loud and vulgar and hated by our parents. There always comes a time that we wanted to form our very own band and play music as our idol rock stars did. The flashy vocalists, the grinding guitar players and the destructive drummers never fail us to motivate to live our lives in a rock and roll way, but how about the bass guitar players? They dont seem cool as their band mates are and they are always seemed out of the spotlight. Are they significant in a band? In fact, they are and they play a huge part in the music of a band.

Bass guitars are the one of the most underrated music instruments in the mainstream music. They are always overshadowed by the guitar and the drums. Bass guitars throw pitches that are one octave lower than the four lower strings of a guitar. The bass guitar is a transposing instrument, as it is written in bass clef an octave higher than it sounds like in the double bass to steer clear of excessive ledger lines. Bass guitar are known to fasten the harmonic framework and laying down the beat. It looks exactly like an ordinary guitar but it commonly has four or five bass strings in it. And like electric guitars, it is plugged to an amplifier and speaker to hear its wonder.

Bass guitars are simple to learn, just like your typical guitar. You can learn playing bass in metal style, alternative, pop music, jazz or you can learn blues guitar and bass combination. Bass guitar players are hard to find as well unlike guitar and drum players. Before, bass were used commonly in jazz but as music evolved, people try to learn blues guitar and blues combined with jazz paved way to new musical trends like rock and roll, pop music, alternative and rhythm and blues.
