About Ibanez… are a musical instrument belonging to the lute family, characterized by a flat, waisted shape with a circular sound hole and a fretted neck along which six strings run. The strings are attached at the top of the neck to tuning pegs and at the other end to a bridge fixed to the instrument’s soundboard. The top three strings are typically made of gut or nylon material, while the remaining strings are made of metal. The strings are tuned E A d g b e1 (E = the second E below middle C; e1 = E above middle C). The player’s left-hand fingers press the strings against the frets to produce specific pitches, while the right-hand fingertips pluck the strings. Some metal-strung guitars are plucked using a small flat pick.
