When playing the piano, adding chords can make your playing rich and harmonious. The two most popular chords on the piano are major and minor.

In musical terms, major signifies happiness and minor signifies sadness. A chord is a group of three or more notes played together. So now you’ll learn about happy and sad harmony!

The easiest and most basic chord to find on the piano is the C Major chord. It consists of the three consecutive white notes C, E, and G.

To find C, look for a set of two black keys. C is the white key immediately to the left of the two black keys. E is two notes above C, and G is two notes above E.
