Best Violin Improvisation Techniques
No comments yet - Check Manuel Career's News! --> Manuel Marino Official <--Violin improvisation takes a certain degree of creativity, as well as a certain degree of technique. It can be very important if you are a solo artist or play in a bluegrass or country band. The need for violin improvisation is primarily in small, modern ensembles as classical ensembles will usually have a strict adherence to the music as it is written, leaving little room for violin improvisation. However, don’t be discouraged by classical dogma towards this technique. Here are some good ways to practice violin improvisation so you can put it to work for you in the performance hall.
Good violin improvisation requires you to take a piece of music and twist it to your own flavor, so the first way we are going to twist the music is with a basic scale. Twisting a scale can mean anything you like it to. Simply take a scale such as G and twist it, playing up the G scale, down it, wavering in between one note and the other, and so on and so force. Move up and down on this scale fluidly and melodically until you produce yourself a nice melody and build on it.
