Today we interview Jaques Smit, an incredible man. Just read all his current positions: Managing Director at MindNova Advertising Pty (Ltd), Marketing Marketing and Music: Any Song Can Become Famous? - Today let's dive into a topic that's been buzzing around a lot: the relationship between marketing and music. Here is the interview and I initially ask about Cereal, his new project/show, a real blend of old and new:

Cereal, a blend of old and new

MM: “Cereal is the perfect example of how an Idea can be developed despite the obstacles, can you explain briefly what is Cereal?”

JS: “The title “Cereal” is a play on words as the show is a pseudo-parody of the serials of old. Serials were the old fashioned, Saturday afternoon cliffhanger matinees, complete with dashing heroes, damsels in distress and …

Music Reviews: Wind and Wire Magazine

I’ve been asked why there is no music reviews section. Well, if you search my name on Google.com, you’ll find many pages (in English and Italian languages) that talk about my music works or music albums. So, I don’t want to put a complete list of the links, but anyway I’ll post parts of the most beautiful music reviews. I’ll begin with the one written by Bill Binkelman (Wind and Wire Magazine).

Music Reviews: Wind and Wire Magazine

Here’s a part of the music reviews:

“Manuel Marino, a.k.a. Vanethian, records some of the best “pure” melodic synthesizer music around. He composes and performs in the same musical style as Larry Fast (Synergy). Manuel’s music is overtly electronic and yet rooted in pop-music sensibility (repeated motifs, refrains, and bridges); he (Manuel) has few (if any) contemporaries in this regard. Frankly, I’m always impressed with how good his music sounds.”

“Sophisticated listeners may hear Manuel’s (Vanethian’s) music and only discern overly slick pop EM. Myself, I’m a sucker for the hooks and expert musicianship that, in my opinion, Manuel excels at. As with the last album New Album - Lost Island - I'm excited to announce the release of my latest Trance

Music Arts, Orchestra Music, Music Compositions…

Music Arts, Orchestra Music, Music Compositions… being Artists, Fine Arts, Poetry…

In few words: Music, Arts, People and Ideas.

It means “One, such as a painter, sculptor, or writer, who is able by virtue of imagination and talent Marketing and Music: Any Song Can Become Famous? - Today let's dive into a topic that's been buzzing around a lot: the relationship between marketing and music. We all know that marketing plays a massive role in the music industry, but does it actually hold the power to make any track a hit? Or does talent still stand a chance? First off, let's address… or skill to create works of aesthetic value”, but also “A person whose work shows exceptional creative ability or skill”.

If we agree that whenever we have exceptional ideas and we are able to create from them a work of aesthetic value we can be considered “artists” then you know what links all those words together: creativity, the ability or power to create.

And on these pages you’ll read about Arts in general, and much about Music (my world), about Ideas …
