Be Ready For the New Gaming Experiences

Videogames
by Jomind

The holiday season is quickly approaching, and so is the gaming season. It’s considered the perfect time to turn consoles and games into a commercial marketplace. The largest companies in the video game system industry, Microsoft Corp., Sony Corp., and Nintendo Corp., have introduced new games and services simultaneously, targeting mainstream consumers like never before.

In the past, most video game consoles were aimed at serious gamers who spent the most money and time on games. But now, companies are targeting players who purchase game machines when their prices are reduced and when a wider array of titles become available.

So, what are the offerings?

Microsoft has secured a deal with Netflix Inc., an online rental service, to stream movies over the Internet The World-wide-web Niche - The global economy has been severely impacted. Millions of people have lost their jobs, many are losing their homes, and retirement portfolios are disappearing at an alarming rate. What happens in the World Wide Web? We often discuss the global financial tsunami, an economic crisis on a scale that rivals the Great Depression of the… to Xbox 360 game machines. The announcement came on the eve of the Electronic Entertainment Expo Media and Business Summit, a major video game industry trade show in Los Angeles. Xbox owners will now be able to watch movies streamed through game consoles to their TVs.

Sony is also expected to showcase its own service for purchasing movies and TV shows from the Internet on PlayStation 3s. According to Sony, this summer, its store for …

Top Nine Xbox 360 Games of 2007

With the advantage of a year on the Wii and PS3, the Xbox 360 ended up offering a better selection of games. It was a fantastic year for the Xbox 360 with numerous excellent big-name titles and exclusive releases. Like any other year, there were disappointments as well. In addition to the promise of Guitar Hero and Rock Band The Invictas are back - Bruce Atchison is one of my (no more available Yahoo Group) best members and he wrote this great article. Bruce is a legally blind freelance writer and the author of two books, When a Man Loves a Rabbit (Learning and Living With Bunnies) and Deliverance from Jericho (Six Years in a Blind School). The first… , this list might surprise you with a few unexpected entries.

  1. The Orange Box

There isn’t another package quite like it for the Xbox 360. Five hit games for $60, and not just any five games. One of the best shooters of all time is included, along with its two expansion packs, an eccentric multiplayer game, and a fresh-thinking puzzle game. I personally called it “Shooters’ Delight”.

  1. Eternal Sonata

A wildly imaginative story and one of the best …

Choosing The Right Video Games

At the core of the process lies research. No, reading just one review from your favorite gaming website doesn’t count. What you need to do is read multiple reviews from a variety of sources, including professional and amateur. This will help you discover different perspectives. Next, watch videos. Look at ratings, trailers, and gameplay. However, try to focus on gameplay videos to get a feel for how the game plays. YouTube offers an excellent research tool for the savvy consumer. Another aspect to consider is the game’s replayability. Investigate what the game has to offer beyond the main campaign. Lastly, if possible, play the demo. A demo reveals more about a game than any review could ever tell you. If you don’t have access to a demo for the game, consider renting it. However, be aware that spending extra money to rent a game and then eventually buying it might seem like a waste.

Keep that possibility in mind when deciding to rent before purchasing.

Finally, review the information you gathered and compiled through your research. Then, use the information to make an informed decision. Ask yourself questions: Will I enjoy this game? Are there add-ons for a …

Umbra Quest And Other Unique Quests From Oblivion

I have compiled a list of unique quests that I have completed during my time playing Oblivion. Be aware that there may be spoilers, so read at your own risk. Whenever more specific quests become available, I typically update in another post. Thank you for reading.

A Brush of Death

This quest is one of the most unique experiences I have had in Oblivion. I do not wish to spoil the quest, so I will only provide the starting point. The quest is called “A Brush of Death.” First, visit the city of Cheydinhal and speak to a woman named Tivela Lythandas. To find her home, enter the west gate, turn right, and walk until you reach a large statue. Her apartment is the first one on the right when looking to the left. She will tell you that her husband has disappeared, and the last time she saw him, he was painting in his room. Once you open the door, the quest will begin.

Umbra Sword

The Umbra Sword is one of the best swords in the game. The location of the sword is easy to find, but the woman wielding the sword is more challenging. Head …

Video Game Addiction – The Addictive Potential of Offline Games

Imagine yourself in a video game store, with walls and shelves covered in various game titles. How do you choose a game to play responsibly? The first thing to consider is whether the game has an online component. If not, then it is an “offline” game.

Offline games have been around since the 1970s, originating from arcades. They reached their peak in the 1990s and have been declining since, as the market hasn’t been growing as rapidly. Although excellent offline games are still being purchased, the focus has shifted towards online gaming.

A typical offline game may offer 20 to 100 hours of gameplay and can be relatively easy to put down. There’s no pressure to play more than you want to.

Offline games can be divided into two main categories: story-based and skill-based. Story-based games follow a character through a narrative, but after a while, the story may lose its appeal as there’s nothing new to discover. Skill-based games, on the other hand, require a significant amount of skill and experience to play, such as sports games. Many people can play these games at a beginner level, but to advance, practice is necessary.

Generally,

Elven Legends Rise of the Nightshade

Mr. Yap is the genius mind behind Elven Legends Rise of the Nightshade, developed by his company Nexgen Studio.

1) Dear Alvin, we know that Elven Legends has been published in the past, what can you tell us about that release?

Elven Legends won several accolades in the past for being too advance in its time. It was on JAVA phones, now we are bringing it back to life on iPad and tablets etc. using UDK to develop it.

2) So, Elven Legends has been resurrected, what exactly means this?

This means part two of the game product. Basically we are creating a side story line to the world of Elven Legends, focusing on the species created by the Dark Elves during the first Elven civil war – Nightshades.

3) Why this new edition will be an impressive edition for all fantasy games enthusiasts?

It will focus on a new ‘spell’ system and allow users to really affect environments and enemy units to creatively get out of tricky situations.

4) Are you planning right now more quests, battles, items and expansions to be added in the future?

Right now we are in the pre-production stage. Conceptualizing, talking to …
