I’ve grew up teaching myself how to play new instruments. This jamorama thing sounds interesting though. How much is it? I might take a look into it.
just make a search and let us now more…
I have always been in music and love to read anything related to music. It was great to see that your have suggested some great online resources which will definitely help people to find a suitable online solo classes. 🙂
Absolutely! thanks Dominic!
Hi – nice layout! I could never, ever strum when I was a kid, and I always found it just about impossible to play electric guitar, for some reason. I’ve finger picked folk, swing, jazz and blues, but could never get my head around the theory.
Even for someone a bit old in the tooth, I’m going to check out these resources – I’m sure there’s a dormant lead guitar God lurking inside me somewhere.
I play Piano, my sister plays Guitar. Both are very captivating instruments but I am so envious of all guitar players because of the mobility of the instrument.
Yes, guitar is great when thinking about moving around with friends, parties and so on. But Piano is so fascinating! And if you learn to play jazz with it, you can make people crazy when listening to it!
Let me tell you, learning solo/classical guitar is not easy as others said. I have background of organ and electronic piano, but still find it very difficult to learn classical guitar at the beginning. Anyway, I still prefer solo to chord. Anyone like me?
It’s not so difficult if you try learning online. There are very powerful tools that make anything faster than traditional learning. About your solo preference, indeed solo guitar is cool and fun. But if you learn rhythm guitar as well, the fun is there too! I am talking about complex rhythms where the guitar really makes that song an important one!
I am always trying to come up with different teaching methods. The online guitar lessons are interesting everybody is seems to be doing it. I am still recording on CD for students and some video which is getting more and more.
Learning online is wonderful! If you are a technologist this can really improve your skills. Anyway, you need a little know how. If you don’t know what a PC is, it’s better to study traditionally. But I must say that today it’s practically impossible to find a PC illiterate.
Great Article! Really great advice on learning Guitar!
Learning to play the guitar online is absolutely possible. I bought a Yamaha FS700 2 years ago and learned to play guitar via a serial on youtube. Currently I play guitar every day, very interesting.
I’ve been using Guitar Tricks to learn for a while and would recommend it for learning online on a budget.

Hey!
I have always been in love with music and even this love for music made me to buy a guitar. It’s been more than 2 months I have this piano and taking classes so as to play in very much effective way.
However there comes a time when I can’t play it in much better way but now reading your post I think I can somehow learn to play it maybe late but definitely I will. 😀
Thanks for making me leave inspired!
Thanks alot! 😀
Keep sharing!!
Cheers!!!! 🙂
Man, what a crazy story. I’ll probably share this with some of my friends. Thanks again for posting it.
I’d say my alternate picking and palm muting are very good and I’m getting better at string skipping. I can play some metal riffs, but haven’t tried to learn any whole songs yet. I only know a few chords and like 2 scales. I know you obviously haven’t heard me play, but do you think I’m learning slowly? I just find it boring to learn a whole song, so I usually just learn the main riff and take elements from that into my own playing.
Cool post, I learned mostly from online guitar lessons. They are a powerful method of learning, as long as they are taught by a good teacher!
