Mobility in music production is truly a gift for which we should be grateful. For those of us with long commutes to work every day, it can be a real hassle to have to wait until we return home to create the music that keeps playing in our heads. When netbooks emerged, manufacturers immediately recognized their potential as mini computers. Now, with the introduction of the iPad, how will netbooks be affected? Let’s examine a few ways in which the iPad surpasses the currently available netbooks, as well as some potential challenges and concerns for music producers.
