Eden Lake Movie Review

This film is about Jenny, a kindergarten instructor, and her boyfriend Steve, escaping for a romantic weekend away. Steve, planning to propose, has found an idyllic setting: a remote lake enclosed by woodlands and apparently deserted. The couple’s peace is shattered when a gang of obnoxious kids encircles their campsite. Reveling in provoking the adults, the gang steals the couple’s belongings and vandalizes their automobile exiting them completely stranded. When Steve confronts them, tempers flare and he suffers a shocking and violent attack. Fleeing for aid, Jenny is topic to a brutal and relentless game of cat-and-mouse as she desperately attempts to evade her young pursuers and discover her method from the woods.

From the ratings I read about this film, I was expecting it to be alot much better than it actually was. The film begins off slow to build up the storyline and then begins to receive wise.

When the kids are chasing after Jenny through the woods, it begins getting boring. Many folks with good sense would employ the woods to their benefit and receive revenge but apparently, not this film. I saw about 3 or even more chances where the girl, more thus than the man, had a benefit of killing or harming 1 or even more of the kids. I guess the 2 main individuals were too stupid to consider creating weapons to fight back and really run away. I guess that’s a film for you.

As for the story, itself, I thought it was very superior. You are able to see how this can be based on anything that could result, since today days the kids are from control and have more energy than the parents (because of the government with their new laws). As for the actors, I thought everyone did a amazing job on their roles. So, there were a limited scenes where the man and girl don’t show too much emotion, when being hurt.

This film was more of the thriller than a horror film. If anybody claims this film was scary, then they need just watched Disney movies all their lifetime. Overall, it was value viewing but I absolutely wished the ending played out better, where she killed all kids to receive revenge.

If you haven’t watched this film and are thinking should you must see it or not, it’s value seeing, at least when.
