Video games are becoming increasingly ingrained in our culture and are currently as successful, if not more so, than the film industry. As a result, many film franchises are being adapted into video games, but this often leads to subpar results. However, there are exceptions, such as the recent Back to the Future PC game, which has been well-received.
So, why do some film-to-game adaptations fail to capture the essence of the original material? The answer lies in the financial aspect of the video game industry. Many successful video games today require large budgets and teams of individuals to create. When a film is released or in development, manufacturers seek to maximize their profits by creating a video game adaptation.
