There was a time when we were content with floppy disks as storage devices, despite their limited space. Then came CDs, which offered greater storage capacity and improved resolution. After that, DVDs came into existence. They were superior in quality and storage, but they can’t be considered the best. The latest development is the Blu-ray DVD, which offers amazing clarity due to its high resolution. These are the desired discs nowadays.

Major studios like Warner Brothers are releasing their movies on Blu-ray discs to take full advantage of the DVD’s resolution. Obviously, to watch these discs, you need a Blu-ray player, just like you need a regular DVD player for standard DVDs. Recently, there was a competition between HD-DVD and Blu-ray, but HD-DVD has officially been discontinued, leaving Blu-ray as the leading technology in the market. Although both formats are similar, they support different technologies.
