Interior Architecture serves as a bridge between architecture and interior design. It equips professionals with the necessary knowledge related to the construction of buildings and the understanding of load-bearing walls. The fields of Interior Architecture and Interior Design are often considered synonymous, with some people referring to them collectively as Interior Architecture Design.
In the United States, professionals specializing in interior architectural design cannot call themselves Interior Architects unless they have fulfilled the educational requirements to become fully licensed architects. Interior Architecture, as a discipline, prepares individuals to apply architectural principles to the design of structural interiors for residential, recreational, and commercial purposes, enabling them to work as professional interior architects. This includes training in heating and cooling systems, occupational and safety practices, interior design, specific end-use applications, structural systems design, and professional responsibilities and practices.
3D architectural interior modeling is a subcomponent of 3D architectural modeling, with the primary objective being to create accurate 3D interior models of building structures.
