Photography Graphics? Playing with graphic Visuals!

A picture speaks a thousand words, conveying countless emotions and freezing time, capturing a moment forever. Even if the memory fades, the image remains eternal and everlasting. The art of capturing an excellent photo does not solely depend on the quality of the camera, but also on the skill of the photographer and their understanding of the subject. A photographer’s most powerful tools are not just the camera, lenses, and post-production work, but also their creativity An Artist Portrait (Part Two) - This is the Part Two (and final part) of the true life story as artist written by Frank V. Cahoj for our Weblog. (Part One) An Artist Portrait (Part Two) I give an unbelievable amount of credence to these two early periods in my life: one of everlasting creation, one of analysis and disillusionment. The… and ability to think outside the box. The true job of a photographer is to take a simple moment, capture its essence, and amplify it to such an extent that the viewer is left in awe. Seeing the world through this third eye is not an easy task, but it is undoubtedly a fulfilling one.

Today, in addition to these skills, …

Creative Lighting Method – Nikon CLS

The Nikon Creative Lighting System (CLS) is a wireless lighting program that enables digital photographers to control multiple speedlights effortlessly from their position. The primary requirement for this type of wireless triggering system is line-of-sight. This means that the speedlight units must be able to visually detect each other.

More specifically, the infrared receiver on the remote or slave speedlight needs to receive the signal from the master or commander speedlight mounted on your Nikon DSLR. The purpose of using a wireless system to trigger remote speedlights is to allow the photographer to quickly utilize multiple speedlights in various configurations, including but not limited to the following:

  1. On-camera speedlight as the master and key light, with one remote speedlight serving as a kicker light.
  2. On-camera speedlight as the master and fill light, with one remote speedlight as the key light and another remote serving as the hair light.
  3. On-camera speedlight as the master (no light emitted), with one remote speedlight as the key light and another remote serving as the fill light or kicker light.
  4. On-camera speedlight as the master (no light emitted), with one remote speedlight as the key light and three additional remote speedlights as

Master Your Camera In 5 Steps

  1. Learn to shoot in manual mode. By doing so, you will familiarize yourself with the fundamentals of aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. If these concepts seem unfamiliar, make an effort to understand them. The internet is a valuable resource where you can find free tutorials and explanations of the basics. While working in manual mode may initially seem slow and complicated, it will ultimately help you better understand your camera and light, even if you eventually choose to shoot in more automated modes.
  2. Shoot with the lowest ISO possible while still maintaining appropriate aperture and shutter speed settings. Using a lower ISO reduces the amount of “noise” in your photos, resulting in cleaner, clearer, and less grainy images. Additionally, shooting with a low ISO allows for more flexibility in post-processing, as you can enhance your photos without sacrificing image quality as much as you would with a high ISO setting.
  3. Remember the rhyme: Flutter, umm, it rhymes with shutter. When determining your shutter speed, a key principle for capturing sharp handheld images is to shoot at a speed at least as fast as the reciprocal of your focal length. Don’t be intimidated! It’s simpler than it

The value of photographic prints

Stephan R. Lewis is a professional photographer. He accepted to share his knowledge with us, with this exclusive article.

The value of photographic prints

I have been in the photo industry trenches for a long time and have watched many things come and go in popularity.

When I say ‘trenches’ I mean not the glamour part of the industry that you see everyday on magazine covers, beautiful and famous people, but rather the nuts and bolts of mass producing press release photos of tired employees, photographs of products for advertising for small business, other time sensitive materials with a short shelf life, created for immediate usage with no value once the deadline has come and gone.

My actual primary concern at the beginning of my career was printing archival black and white photographs for exhibition and professional use, art prints designed to last 100+ years, so the disposable and transient nature of consumer photography amazed me.

Which brings me to the popularity of one-hour photo finishing of snapshots that existed until recently. Everything from birthday parties and Christmases, the latest vacation snaps and spontaneous party photos to out of focus and overexposed close-ups of newborn babies, dog noses and amateur …
