The creative elements consist of: point, line, shade, shape, texture, space, and volume. The point is a form without dimensions: no height, no width, and no depth. The point is the foundation, the starting point for other graphic forms: its movement creates a line. A large number of points form a complete surface area. By grouping points, we can achieve various values of light or dark tones. If the transition from dark to light tones is gradual, we can create an illusion of a three-dimensional image in art paintings on canvas.
