In this particular article, I would like to delve into the joy one experiences when using a pedal or distortion. Initially, distortion was perceived as an undesirable outcome, a flaw that needed correction. However, as time passed, musicians began to realize that distortion, when employed correctly, could enhance a guitar note and produce intriguing sounds that expanded its range, captivating the audience.

When amplifiers were first utilized, it became evident that the tubes couldn’t handle the sound adequately, resulting in distortion. Yet, musicians discovered an entirely new realm of possibilities with the different sounds that emerged, and they started to explore these potentials.

Many musicians still prefer using vintage tube amplifiers because of the distinctive distortion they offer. These amplifiers produce a warm and resonant tone that immerses the listeners in an atmosphere where they can fully appreciate the characteristics of the various tones being generated.

Later on, musicians discovered a technique called equalization, or EQ, which involves boosting specific frequencies within a signal.
