Knight Medieval

There is always an intriguing perspective on the events that have unfolded throughout history, each distinct in its own right. While the past has shaped the memories we hold, it has also influenced the development of both individuals and society today. As part of the fascinating tapestry of European history, the Middle Ages is characterized by three distinct periods, one of which is the Medieval period. When the Roman Empire lost its grip, the Medieval period took its place. In terms of music during this era, medieval instruments played a crucial role in defining its character.

Plucked stringed instruments were particularly popular during the Medieval period. Additionally, the music produced during this time was divided into two categories: sacred and secular. Naturally, musicians who composed melodies and lyrics for the church aimed to portray it in a positive light. On the contrary, secular music served as entertainment and reflected the perspectives of the common class. As travelers journeyed from one place to another, they spread these musical messages, utilizing instruments such as bagpipes that were portable and lightweight.

Knights and Film Music

The Knight is an elite warrior sworn to uphold the values of courage and honour.

Knighthood was characterized by two elements, feudalism and service as a mounted combatant. Both arose under the reign of the Frankish emperor Charlemagne, from which the knighthood of the Middle Ages can be seen to have had its genesis.

Knights were trained in hunting, fighting, and riding. They were also trained to practise courteous, honorable behaviour, which was extremely important.

This behaviour was a Code of Honour, made of solemn oaths, like to protect the people and to live by honour and for glory.
