Skid Row

With five fully featured studio albums, this American heavy metal band Skid Row tasted sweet success from the late 1980s to the early 1990s. Formed in Toms River, New Jersey, the band has sold over 20 million copies of their albums. One of their most impressive achievements is releasing their debut album in just three years, something that many bands never accomplish.

Rachel Bolan and Dave “The Snake” Sabo were the driving forces behind the band’s formation. Over the years, there have been some changes in band members, most notably the departure of Sebastian Bach. This occurred when Bach wanted the band to open for KISS, but the rest of the group disagreed, leading to a falling out and Bach’s departure. The current lineup of the band includes Johnny Solinger, Scotti Hill, Rob Hammersmith, and, of course, the two founders.

The band had a tumultuous relationship with Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora. They signed over their publishing rights to the two, as Bon Jovi was looking for new talent to sign with their new publishing company, Underground Music Company. A Gospel Concert with Soul

Throughout history, music has consistently held the power to influence society. During pivotal moments in history, it transcended mere rhythm, beat, and melody, assuming a deeper, often mystical role in connecting people. This transformative nature of music was particularly evident during the 1960s, when artists like Bob Dylan became more than just musicians crafting songs.

They emerged as social activists, using their music to shape public opinion and give voice to the thoughts and worldview of an entire generation. The first three years of the final decade of the 20th century belonged to Bryan Adams, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Paula Abdul, and Vanessa Williams, all of whom possessed and utilized a distinctly adult-sounding voice in their music, setting them apart from the pop music of the late 80s. However, amidst that, more diverse sounds like Vanilla Ice and Kris Kross also found their place and received significant airplay on radio stations during that time.

By the end of the first quarter of the 1990s, a new phenomenon emerged that instantly captivated the music scene. A smooth-voiced group of four musicians called Boys II Men gained major recognition when their song “End Of The Road” was featured on the soundtrack of the Eddie Murphy film Boomerang.
