The bushes thrive in the Tibet and Himalayan Mountain regions, where both scorching summers and frigid winters are present. The flowers are violet or white and mature into small, bright red berries. Due to their brilliance, the natives often referred to them as The Red Diamond Fruit.
These bushes are perennials and grow in rows. Although initially, they grew interspersed in the forest, they are now cultivated in rows to encourage high yields per plant.
