During Miami Music Week held at a club venue in Miami yesterday (March 26), David Guetta and Mrs. Guetta unveiled their brand in the United States. They also announced a finalized agreement between them and their record label EBI, which will help expand their F.M.I.F. brand globally through organizing international events. Their first target is the US, and that’s why the Guettas were in southeastern Florida.
Accompanied by his frequent musical collaborator may.i.am and Dutch beatsmith Sidney Sampson, Guetta took the stage at 1 a.m. and kicked off with an energetic Afrojack beat. He followed it up with his chart-topping hits ‘Gettin’ Over You’ and ‘One Love.’ The audience enthusiastically sang along to the choruses, displaying incredible enthusiasm. Even when Guetta paused, the fans continued singing, particularly Fergie’s part with remarkable precision.
He then played his other chart-toppers like ‘Sexy Chick’ and ‘Club Can’t Handle Me’ featuring Flo Rida. Following that, the DJ delivered a powerful remix of Far East Movement’s “Like a G6,” which he currently has no plans to release officially. This was followed by the Black Eyed Peas’ track “Boom Boom Pow.”
As expected, may.i.am joined Guetta on stage, shouting ‘Everybody!’ between tracks and delivering a freestyle verse that seemed to be from a collaboration on Guetta’s new album.
The US audience was thrilled to hear that more F— Me I’m Famous events are planned for the future. In an interview with MTV, Guetta expressed his excitement about the F— Me I’m Famous party and his takeover of Las Vegas. He revealed plans for a weekly pool party at Wet Republic, starting every Sunday.
Guetta mentioned that this will be their first experience of this kind outside of Ibiza, Spain. He shared that three more concerts are in store for Las Vegas residents in the coming weeks. He emphasized that their Memorial Day show will be a big one, as they are bringing their entire production team from Europe. Guetta believes that these events are crucial for his F— Me I’m Famous brand and wants to ensure that everything goes well in the upcoming weeks.
The planned F— Me I’m Famous party, mentioned by Guetta, is scheduled to take place at Las Vegas’ Wet Republic from April 10 to May 1.
