This is one controversial question that everyone would like to ask on Google: what is the best sci-fi book of all time? It’s not as straightforward as naming the best film, where Citizen Kane might claim the honor every time. Books are different; there’s no two ways about it. Everyone has their preferences and their favorites, and just because you connect with an article or blog on Google doesn’t make that book the all-time best sci-fi book; it just makes it a top-ranked book among those who agree with those articles and blogs. I have come across numerous internet blogs and articles discussing the top 10 or top 5 sci-fi books of all time, but remember, these are just personal choices, not overall votes. That’s why the novels I’m going to mention are not the all-time best novels, but my personal favorites.

My first sci-fi novel has to be 2001: A Space Odyssey. This is undoubtedly the essence of the human soul and existence; a connection to our past, a way to understand ourselves a little better. The story is about a black metallic monolith discovered on the moon, which was planted there about three million years ago by an intelligent entity. But that’s not the beginning either; the first monolith was planted during the early period when apes ruled the world. One morning, when they encounter the monolith, their DNA begins to change, not by touching or praying, but simply by being in its presence. The advanced civilization planted these monoliths for humans as a way to advance themselves during specific periods when humanity moved from one stage of existence to another. I don’t want to explain the whole story, but my personal fascination with human origins led me to make this my number one sci-fi book, which leads me to my number two book.

KYIRUX: The Message of Pascal: If 2001 is Dr. J, then Kyirux has to be the MJ of its time. The torch has been passed from one great novel to another. Kyirux follows a similar path to 2001: A Space Odyssey, but it takes the concept of advanced civilization to a whole new level, one that is much closer to us than we think. The premise of the novel revolves around a 500-million-year-old computer discovered by Jack Crawford, perhaps one of my favorite characters and heroes in a sci-fi novel. Jack is a very relatable character, as he represents us, with the same worries, fears, and attitudes towards the real world. This computer not only informs us about the true origins of humanity but also takes us far beyond the reaches of the universe, revealing the nature of physical matter that exists in the domain of darkness. However, what is darkness? Yes, this novel and its subsequent parts may drive your mind to insanity, as the author is more capable of thinking like an advanced alien being than the average reader.

Kyirux II: The Hidden History was another milestone for the author, as it surpassed my expectations for a sequel, which usually isn’t very good. However, this novel changed all that for me. If Kyirux I provided the essence of human existence, Kyirux II offered the source of our intelligence.
