Although marketed as Barnes and Noble Nookcolor, this wireless reading device utilizes the Google Android OS. If you’re looking for an excellent e-reader, then the Kindle with its impressive E Ink technology is affordable and preferred by many. However, if you’re seeking an e-reader with additional features, then take a second look at the Nookcolor. This 7-inch screen Android OS e-reader boasts an impressive color display and is a strong competitor to the Kindle.

The Nookcolor takes your e-reader experience to the next level with its beautiful Vividview color touch screen. At 7 inches, the screen is larger than the Kindle’s and feels more like a tablet. Having access to the Barnes and Noble Bookstore is a definite plus. Here, you can access over 2 million e-books, with a million of them being free, including about half a million classics. When visiting a Barnes and Noble store, bring your Nookcolor along and you’ll have free access to any e-book for 2 hours, or you can browse the latest bestsellers before making a purchase.

Be amazed by the new technology ChatGPT and Artificial Intelligence - With ChatGPT, we find ourselves in the midst of a technological revolution these days. Many people are oblivious to it. For instance, my wife, who isn't very tech-savvy, has no idea how crucial these years are for the future of the next generations. Artificial intelligence is here, many will lose their jobs, and new technologies… color touch screen that displays over 16 million colors. There are also various additional features. You can listen to music while reading by using Pandora Internet Radio or the built-in digital player. The Nookcolor, with built-in Wi-Fi, allows you to surf the web and socialize by integrating Twitter and Facebook. This e-reader also supports playback and animation.

This e-reader is not only for adults; it has some features that may appeal to children. The Alive Touch Technology means that by touching an image on a page, it comes to life. There is also the “read to me” feature, where a child can listen to an e-book being read with a professional voice.

With 8 GB of internal memory, you can store thousands of e-books, magazines, and newspapers. The lend-me feature allows you to share your e-books with friends and family. Additionally, with a collegiate dictionary, the ability to play chess, crosswords, and sudoku, you have a wireless reading device that will provide you with years of enjoyable reading, fun, and socializing.

With the Kindle, you have a choice of Wi-Fi or 3G. While there is no 3G option for the Nookcolor, this isn’t a significant issue because Wi-Fi has become very popular. One known issue with the Android OS is glare in bright sunlight, but the Nookcolor minimizes glare by having a laminated screen cover.

This Barnes and Noble e-reader is suitable for everyone, but especially for avid readers of books, glossy magazines, and newspapers. Students will also find this e-reader an excellent choice, as it is a portable way to access thick and complex textbooks.
