The Chromatic Scale

The chromatic scale is the most basic scale in Western music and includes all twelve musical notes. It ascends in half steps from the chosen starting note to its corresponding note one octave higher. The Major Scale

The major scale is considered one of the most important and popular scales in music. Even if you have a minor inclination in music, you can easily recognize the major scale: Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Ti, Do. While the chromatic scale uses only half steps in its construction, the major scale uses a combination of whole and half steps.
