Setting Benchmarks Toward Videogaming

For many players today, the visuals of a game are often prioritized over gameplay. However, there are still those who value gameplay above all else, or vice versa. The gaming industry is rapidly evolving, and so is the technology behind computer gaming. Each year, developers showcase their new game engines, which have been built from the ground up. They eagerly present their masterpieces to the public through expos and major conferences. They either update their existing engines or incorporate various enhancements such as high-definition textures, real-time physics simulations, and detailed debris and clothing interactions.

Benchmarking is similar to assessing a PC’s performance and features. It is like a student taking a CPA exam, where their ability to think critically and demonstrate expertise in the subject matter is evaluated. There are various benchmarking tools available, including 3DMark Vantage and 3DMark 11, just to name a few.

With the recent release of blockbuster video game titles like Dead Space 2, Dragon Age 2, and Homefront, 2011 has been an exciting year for gaming. One of the highly anticipated titles set to launch on March 22nd is Crysis 2. When Crytek, the company behind the first and second Crysis games, introduced …

It’s not even halfway through 2011 yet, and we have already seen some great PC games on the market. So despite what the cynics may say, it’s evident that PC gaming is far from over. If we continue to receive fantastic titles like we have this year, there will be many more exciting years ahead for PC gaming.

Here are some of the standout games in 2011 that should not be missed:

Shogun 2: Total War

Shogun 2: Total War is an excellent choice for anyone who enjoys immersive strategy games filled with adventure. The stunning graphics will make you feel like you’ve been transported to Japan. However, before you rush out to buy this game, it’s important to ensure that your computer meets the high system requirements, which is the only downside.

Star Wars: The Old Republic

While it may not make it to the top of the best games list for 2011, Star Wars: The Old Republic should still make it into the top 10. The developers have promised that it will be the best Star Wars game ever, although they may be biased in saying so.

Fortunately, there have been some positive …

What Is Mmorpg?

MMORPG stands for Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game, and it is a genre of computer game where there are hundreds, commonly thousands, or even millions of players from all around the world.

In this type of game, players enter a virtual fantasy world and assume the roles of their own created characters, who are tasked with missions and objectives. A website serves as the host of the game world or realm, and players enter this virtual world to act out the roles they have chosen and pursue the quests or tasks they have set for themselves. This creates an interactive experience, even when players are not actively playing the game. Essentially, life in this virtual world continues much like life goes on in the real world.

For example, in an episode of World of Warcraft, a viral outbreak was caused by a spell that made players sick and infected others. Chaos and confusion ensued as the condition spread, and players scrambled to find safety. Eventually, a safe haven was established, and the issue was contained, but the experience was eye-opening due to its realistic circumstances.

Reflecting humanity’s inherent desire for extraordinary powers, many MMORPG games like World …

Guitar Scale and Tips

If you want to learn how to play scales, it’s important to start by understanding how the major scale works before moving on to more complex ones. This means that different musical scales work for different genres of music. For example, the blues scale follows a different pattern than the diatonic or pentatonic scale. While it’s important to read about scales as a beginner, it’s beneficial to study chords first before fully grasping the significance of guitar scales.

Spelling out the notes as you play them will help you remember your chords and scale progressions. Additionally, when you’re just learning a scale, take the patterned progressions as slow as possible and gradually increase your speed as you become more comfortable. Keep in mind that once you’ve mastered the pattern, challenge yourself by pushing your limits. This not only improves the flexibility of your fingers but also trains your mind to adapt to the speed of your hands.

If you’re a beginner with limited knowledge of scales, it may be time to invest in learning at least the major scale to become more versatile in playing the guitar . Learning to play guitar scales is beneficial because they provide …

Starting in 1979, video games slowly began to invade homes, captivating the attention of young kids and adults alike. The first video game was produced in Japan, and it has since undergone significant evolution over the years. Video games have not only become a hobby for children, but they have also become an obsession for young adults. People are constantly in competition with one another to own the newest and greatest video games. They also compete against each other to conquer the challenging levels in highly demanding games. With individuals constantly seeking new challenges, the field of video game design has surged in popularity.

Children are becoming fascinated with video games at a young age. To prevent them from becoming passive in front of the television, video game design companies are incorporating education and exercise into their games. Companies like V-tech and Leap Frog use colors, numbers, and words to teach young children how to read and count. One recent game that has revolutionized the video game industry is Nintendo’s Wii. This game system utilizes games that incorporate physical activity. Game users are required to use their physical abilities to complete tasks such as fishing, …

The Sony PSP 3000 is the latest addition to the handheld gaming family, offering more features and advantages compared to the PSP 2000 model. One notable aspect is its compact size, which is even smaller than the Slim&Lite version.

Most handheld PSPs have a similar appearance with minimal size differences. However, the new PSP 3000 is better known for its full-featured peripherals and smaller size compared to its predecessors. Users can enjoy an enhanced screen while using a microphone or headphones. Undoubtedly, this model provides a memorable user experience, thanks to the screen’s protection against bright sunlight.

Players can communicate with their contacts through the integrated Skype feature. While this is a multifaceted aspect, the device’s greatest strengths lie in its gaming capabilities, both online and offline. The impressive 4×3-inch screen will captivate players during their gaming sessions.

Owners can play games online via Wi-Fi, watch movies, listen to music, and access images. In addition to its slim and lightweight design with excellent color reproduction, it retains the playback features of previous models.
